Meet Oakley 🐾

Oakley is a sweet 2-year-old Daddy dog with an old soul and a heart full of love. He came to Rescue PAC after living on the streets of Deep South Texas with his two puppies, Maple and Asher. Oakley stayed by his babies and helped keep them safe, and we think the scars on his face tell a story of a life that wasn’t always kind to him. We may never know exactly what he endured, but what we do know is that Oakley hasn’t let his past change his gentle spirit.

This handsome guy absolutely LOVES people. Belly rubs, kisses, attention and being near his humans are pretty much Oakley’s idea of a perfect day. He is dog-friendly and enjoys having canine friends around, but if you give him the choice between playing with another dog or getting some human affection, he’ll probably choose the belly rubs every time!

Oakley is incredibly calm and laid-back. He has the personality of an old man trapped in a young dog’s body. He is housebroken, loves his sleep, and you may have to practically roll him out of bed in the morning. He is learning what it means to be a dog in a home, including kennel training, and he is doing wonderfully.

Oakley is heartworm positive and is currently receiving the medical care he needs. His treatment will need to be completed before his adoption can be finalized, but he can absolutely start looking for his forever family in the meantime.

Oakley has spent enough time worrying about survival. Now he deserves a soft bed, a safe home, plenty of belly rubs, and someone who will show him just how good life can be.

We have a feeling this sweet boy is going to steal someone’s heart.

*Adoption fees for all dogs are $250 and include all essential vaccines, heart worm treatment (if necessary), a microchip and spay/neuter.
