Lately, Rescue PAC has been busy. Really busy. We’ve welcomed so many new dogs into our rescue recently, and the majority have been puppies. With every new intake comes a mixture of emotions. There’s excitement because we get to give another dog a chance, but there’s also that feeling in the back of our minds that we know all too well: Now what? Where will they go? Who will foster them? What will they need medically? How long will it take to find their family? And, most importantly, how many more dogs are out there waiting for someone to say yes? Those questions can feel overwhelming, but then something happens that reminds us exactly why we keep doing this. We...
It's a question we've heard before. "Why bring dogs from the Valley when there are dogs that need help here?" It's a fair question, and one we believe deserves an honest answer. The truth is, there isn't an animal welfare crisis in just one city, one county, or one region. It's everywhere. There are homeless dogs in Buda. In Hays County. Throughout Central Texas. Across the Rio Grande Valley. And in communities all across the United States. Animal overpopulation isn't a local problem—it's a national one. Every day, shelters and rescues are forced to make impossible decisions because there simply aren't enough homes, enough foster families, enough affordable veterinary resources, or enough people choosing to spay and neuter their pets....

Over the past few years, Rescue PAC has continued doing what we love most: giving animals a second chance. We've rescued dogs in need, celebrated countless adoptions, worked alongside incredible fosters and volunteers, and watched so many once-forgotten animals find the loving homes they deserved. Now, as we move through 2026, we're excited to bring our blog back to life. So, what can you expect from us? This blog will be your behind-the-scenes pass into the world...

As we pulled up to park, we noticed a black lab walking from one human to another, then we looked at each other, instantly deciding that if he needed help we'd provide it. The cashier inside said she believed he had been dumped at the site. He had been lingering by the store for days, walking up to new visitors as they exited their cars. Some people bought food for him, but he seemed mostly interested in greeting each new person stepping through. I noticed his face...
