David, Dean, Alexis, Frankie, and Bree- 2 males and 3 females 8 weeks old puppies
One of our volunteers saw a plea on social media to rehome a sick mother, male dog, and 6 puppies on a property the person on Facebook owned and recently evicted the tenants… the tenants left these dogs for dead. Our plan prior to arriving & knowing how dire the situation was to help provide flea/tick, dewormer, parvo vaccines, and food.
That quickly changed into rushing dying mom and the 5 puppies (we never could find the 6th) to the emergency vet.
The next day we went back for the male dog and took him into rescue. The family had been living in the Texas elements and hazardous conditions brought on by the owners who abandoned them. All 7 were infested with fleas and belly’s full of parasites resulting in 2 of the puppies having to be hospitalized and given a blood transfusion. All the puppies had pale white gums, all 7 of the dogs were suffering significant skin issues.
We have vetted all dogs and each have names which are featured on their photos. June and Thor have been spayed and neutered. The puppies are scheduled to be spayed/neutered in January. June and the puppies are looking for their forever home!
*Adoption fees for all dogs are $250 and include all essential vaccines, heart worm treatment (if necessary), a microchip and spay/neuter.
