One of our dedicated volunteers came across a heartbreaking plea on social media about a sick mother dog, a male dog, and six puppies that had been left to suffer after their owners were evicted. The tenants abandoned these dogs on a property in dire conditions, leaving them for dead. Initially, our plan was to provide basic care, including flea and tick treatment, dewormer, parvo vaccines, and food. However, upon arrival, the situation was much more severe than expected. We immediately rushed the ailing mother and five puppies—one was tragically unaccounted for—to an emergency vet, as they were in critical condition. The next day, we returned to rescue the male dog, bringing him into our care as well. All seven dogs had been living in the harsh Texas elements, enduring fleas, parasites, and severe skin issues. Two of the puppies required hospitalization and a blood transfusion due to their weak condition, and all of them showed signs of serious neglect, including pale gums and malnutrition. All seven dogs have now received the care they needed and are in good health.
David is an absolutely adorable puppy with a heart of gold. When he and his sister, Alexis, were first rescued, they were two of our most critical puppies. The first 48 hours of intake were touch-and-go for both of them, but with lots of love and care, David made a full recovery, and now he's thriving. As a typical puppy, David is in his playful, mischievous phase, full of energy and curiosity as he explores the world around him. His sweet personality and loving nature make him an ideal companion for any family. They say, "A puppy’s love is pure, their joy contagious, and their snuggles endless," and David is a perfect example of that. Now, he’s in search of his FURever family—someone ready to embrace his playful spirit and love him unconditionally.
*Adoption fees for all dogs are $250 and include all essential vaccines, heart worm treatment (if necessary), a microchip and spay/neuter.
