Lab mix, 2 year old

Top 2 Love Languages: Quality time, acts of service

Special Highlights: House trained, child friendly, socialized with larger and smaller dogs, best fetch buddy ever

Nikko was rescued from South Texas with his surviving siblings. He was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy (HOD), a puppy growth disease that can make growth spurts pretty painful for some large breed dogs. Thankfully, this can be outgrown and these days are far behind him and he can now run faster and jump higher than most of our rescued pups!

Nikko is a fetch fanatic and is very easy to walk calmly on a leash. He loves to lounge on a couch after some play in the backyard, he is crate trained and would thrive in a home with another friendly pet!

His is very shy when first meeting new people and dogs, but overcomes that shyness if allowed to meet new friends slowly and carefully. Remember, as a puppy he couldn't run away from dangerous dogs and people; it's very understandable that he has learned to take a cautious approach.

*Adoption fees for all dogs are $250 and include all essential vaccines, heart worm treatment (if necessary), a microchip and spay/neuter.
