Meet Tommy 🐾

Tommy’s story is one of resilience, heartbreak, and the kind of second chance every dog deserves. He came to us from the San Antonio animal shelter after he and his five siblings were placed on the euthanasia list. Tragically, four of his siblings did not make it out, but Tommy was saved just in time and given the freedom ride that changed his life forever.

Since then, Tommy has been making the most of that second chance. He is now thriving in his foster home, where he’s enjoying life with a foster dad and a foster sister he absolutely adores. Tommy loves companionship and has shown how happy he is to be part of a family. He has a playful spirit, a sweet nature, and a heart that is ready to bond deeply with his people.

Tommy is also incredibly smart and eager to learn. His foster has been working with him on multiple commands, and Tommy has impressed everyone with how quickly he catches on. He is currently learning leash manners and continuing to build confidence each day. He enjoys having structure, guidance, and opportunities to use both his mind and energy.

Tommy would do best in a home without cats or livestock, as he has a strong prey drive. Because of this, he’ll need a family that understands management and can provide him with a safe environment where he can succeed.

We know Tommy’s perfect match is out there. He needs a home that will continue his training, include him as part of the family, and give him the love and stability he has fought so hard to find. In return, Tommy will give endless loyalty, affection, and gratitude. After everything he has overcome, Tommy is more than ready for the happy ending he deserves.

Adoption fees for all dogs are $250 and include all essential vaccines, heartworm treatment (if necessary), a microchip, and spay/neuter.
