Mama Phoebe’s journey is one of resilience, courage, and a mother’s love.
For nine long weeks, Phoebe lived in an old, sweltering barn, doing everything she could to keep her nine puppies alive. Surrounded by critters and constant danger, she never wavered — and against all odds, every single one of her babies survived.
Her puppies were easy enough to scoop up, but Phoebe herself was too terrified to trust human hands. Trap after trap failed, and despite every effort, hope began to fade. That’s when we knew we had to step in.
Even with our intake list overflowing, we couldn’t turn our backs on her. With the help of an incredible group of women skilled in humane trapping, Phoebe was finally brought to safety.
Today, Phoebe is safe. She is loved. She’s resting in the care of a foster who is giving her the patience and compassion she’s needed for so long. Now, she can finally begin the next chapter of her life — one filled with healing, comfort, and love.
But rescue doesn’t end the day a dog is caught. Phoebe still needs medical care, nutrition, heartworm prevention, and training to help her thrive. This is where you come in.
