Meet Asher ❤️

Asher’s story began on the streets of Deep South Texas, where he was found alongside his dad, Oakley, and his sister, Maple. He was born into a life of survival and never had the chance to learn what a safe home, gentle hands, or unconditional love felt like.

That is, until now. 

Asher is the sweetest little guy with the perfect mix of couch potato and playful puppy. He’s calm and easygoing most of the time and loves relaxing with his people—especially when belly rubs are involved! When he’s ready to play, his fun puppy personality comes shining through.

He absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around. He’s also a big fan of the outdoors, and one of his favorite things is stretching out in the grass and soaking up the sunshine.

Asher has come such a long way. Because of his past, he can still be cautious when approached head-on, especially by men. He prefers to come to you on his own terms, and his foster family has learned to give him the patience and space he needs. Little by little, Asher is learning that people can be safe, that hands can be gentle, and that affection can feel really good.

And once he trusts you? You get to see what a sweetheart he truly is. 

Asher is doing amazing with his crate and sleeps quietly through the night. He’s also doing great with potty training and, when kept on a regular puppy potty schedule, does well without accidents in the house.

Asher isn’t broken. He’s learning. And watching him discover this new life has been incredibly special.

His ideal day includes a little playtime, sunshine, doggy friends, a comfy couch, belly rubs, and people who understand that sometimes the biggest transformation happens when a dog is simply given the time and patience to feel safe.

Asher is ready for a family who will continue showing him what love looks like—and in return, he’ll give you his whole heart. 

*Adoption fees for all dogs are $250 and include all essential vaccines, heart worm treatment (if necessary), a microchip and spay/neuter.
